Return Policy

We will gladly accept returns/exchanges on any item(s) that are in their original, unused condition and all packaging WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ORDER DELIVERING. Customer MUST ship items back at their own expense. 

Please log into your account to request a return or send an email to with order details and items to be returned/exchanged. Once your request has been received, a return authorization number (RMA) will be provided via email. Customers must have a RMA for ALL returns/exchanges. We will not accept/process any returns/exchanges without an RMA. Please make sure you keep a copy of your return tracking number and include a copy of your packing list with the RMA noted.


Please be sure you are happy with all items within 30 days of receiving your order. We offer all scents in wax melt form and our body butters are available in a small so customers can decide if they like a scent before committing to the purchase of a full sized candle or butter.

Please allow 7 days from when your return has been RECEIEVED by The August Light for your refund/exchange to be processed. You will be notified by email once your return/exchange has been completed. Please allow 7-10 business days after processing for credit to be issued to your original method of payment.

Exchanges will be processed once the original item(s) are received in their original and unused condition along with all packaging. All exchanges are subject to availability of new/replacement item(s). An email will be sent once the new item(s) has shipped.

All returns/exchanges MUST BE MAILED/POSTMARKED WITHIN THE 30-DAY RETURN PERIOD in order for the return/exchange to be honored by THE AUGUST LIGHT. If you request a return/exchange on the 30th day, it must be done during our operating hours and items must be mailed the same day for the return/exchange to be honored.


We reserve the right to reject any returns/exchanges that do not comply with the conditions stated above. If your package is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your expense and a refund will not be granted. Items that appear used upon inspection are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.


All of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped, and we take great care in packaging and shipping your orders. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours of receipt of your order if an item(s) is damaged or if you receive the wrong item(s) so that we may review the issue and make it right. Please also take photos/video of delivered order to show damaged or incorrect items and include in an email to with your order details. We will reach out to you as soon as possible with a solution.

Please remember no replacements/credits will be issued for damaged or incorrect items without the customer first notifying us via email at
