Shipping Policy

AT THIS TIME, WE ONLY SHIP WITHIN THE UNITED STATES

All orders are processed and shipped from Atlanta, GA within 3-4 business days (this includes all expedited shipping options) as all of our candles, wax melts, and butters are hand-poured in small batches. 

We use real-time rates to calculate shipping and we ship via USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Once an order has shipped, it can take up to 7 business days for domestic orders to deliver. Delivery time is dependent upon delivery destination and shipping method chosen at checkout. Military addresses can take up to 10 business days.

You will receive an order confirmation via email after placing your order. Tracking will be available as soon as an order is processed, not shipped. Please allow up to 2-3 business days for tracking to become active. Alaska and Hawaii may take a bit longer. Please be mindful that shipping time does not include order processing time.

Please note that during Summer months we may not ship orders on Fridays or Saturdays to prevent your items from sitting in a hot warehouse over the weekend.

As a way to show our appreciate for your support of a black owned and operated business, we cover the cost of shipping on all orders over $100 shipping within the contiguous United States. Please make sure you select the FREE SHIPPING option at checkout.

P.O. BOXES:

We do not ship to PO Boxes/P.O. Box addresses. Any order placed with a PO Box as the address will be cancelled without warning. Please consider an alternate shipping destination when checking out. 

AN IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Once a package is picked up and/or scanned in by our carrier, the shipping and delivery status is no longer within our control. We are unable to replace missing or stolen packages at this time. Please reach out directly to the carrier for missing or stolen packages.

Please verify that your shipping address is correct before placing your order. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy and safety of the shipping address provided. We will not be held liable for incorrectly entered shipping information or packages left, stolen, or missing from an unreliable or unsafe shipping address. If an order has been entered with an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for any shipping charges that are required for us to resend the order. The customer is also responsible for shipping charges that are required to resend packages that have been returned to us for any other reason.

Please consider shipping to an address where someone is always present to receive the delivery, i.e. a workplace, 24-hour business, etc.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS:

If you need to cancel an order, please send us an email (info@theaugustlight.com) IMMEDIATELY. Once an order has processed for shipping, we are unable to cancel the order.

Any order placed with a PO Box as the address will be cancelled without warning.

Please allow 7-10 business days from time of cancellation for funds to be processed and returned to your method of payment.
